THE DIGITEXX STORY
Founded in 2000, and based on many years of experience in earthquake engineering and real-time communications software, Digitexx pioneered the concept of real-time structural health monitoring.
The idea for real-time, remote access structural monitoring was fostered through years of field work physically going out to retrieve data from various recording systems following an earthquake. The challenge of traveling to the data source along with the time it took to gather and analyze the data pushed the notion, “there has to be a better way of doing things”. With the advancements in global Internet accessibility, sensor technology and the increase in computing power the notion became a reality.
By starting with the challenge in mind, Digitexx founders purposefully developed a flexible software infrastructure that could accommodate just about any sensor type. In addition, they developed a system that could manage and stream (continuous) 100's to 1,000's of channels of data. It's the flexibility and power of the system that can easily evolve as the structural health monitoring industry evolves.
For the last decade, Digitexx has been developing real-time structural health monitoring systems for a variety of industries and applications including bridges, buildings, corporate campuses, wind turbines, oil rigs and more. The Digitexx system is capable of measuring and responding to both natural and man-made events such as earthquakes, high winds, explosions, and accidental heavy impacts.
The Digitexx structural monitoring product solutions provide accurate, low-cost real-time structural health information. This allows a structural engineer to have instantaneous interpretations of the data, which in turn allows the engineer to make confident, efficient decisions in a more timely and cost effective manner. With Digitexx's Client Software, customers can monitor their structures remotely from any location with Internet access, allowing 24/7 real-time structural health monitoring.
